Markham

Corporate chauffeur service across Markham

Markham is a technology and professional-services city with more head offices than its size suggests, sitting at the far corner of the region from the airport. Almost every decision about a booking here starts with which highway to use.

The toll question

No other part of the GTA makes this decision as often. The 407 runs directly across the top of the region and turns a Markham-to-airport trip into something predictable; the 401 does the same journey for nothing and hands you whatever North York is doing that morning in exchange.

Because the 407 bills by licence plate after the fact, the choice is a spending decision rather than a routing one, and it is not ours to make quietly. Bookings from Markham ask the question up front. Companies on an account usually set a standing answer once — most say yes for anything airport-related and no for a local trip.

Timing changes the maths as well. At ten in the morning the 401 is often fine; at seven-thirty it is not, and the toll buys back a genuinely large amount of time on a Pearson departure with a fixed check-in.

Buildings before streets

Markham’s office stock leans heavily on campus-style development set back from the road, with parking underneath and entrances that face a lot rather than a street. Allstate Parkway and the Commerce Valley cluster are both like this. The consequence is that a chauffeur arriving at the correct address may still be a level and a building away from the passenger.

Bookings that name the building, the entrance and a mobile number remove that entirely. For offices we visit weekly it is stored once against the corporate account and never asked again.

Venues follow the same rule. The Flato Markham Theatre and the hotels along Warden have proper forecourts; Unionville Main Street has none at all, and a pickup there is agreed in advance or it does not work.

Questions

Booking in Markham

The 407 is usually faster from Markham and is tolled by plate, so the time saving carries a real cost that appears on a bill afterwards. The 401 is free and, outside peak, only moderately slower. We ask which you prefer when you book rather than deciding on your behalf.

Nearby

Heading west along the 407 puts you in Vaughan; heading south-west on the 401 puts you in North York. The rest of the region is covered on areas we serve.

Send the pickup and destination and tell us whether to use the 407. We will confirm the timing either way.
